Pulikkali Festival is a folk art festival that is associated with Onam and is now currently celebrated as Onam Pullikali Festival. This harvest festival involves the performance of men who paint themselves in the print of tigers and hunters and dance to the tunes of Kerela music. It is one of its kind of festivals that is celebrated at Swaraj Round location of Thrissur. It is usually celebrated on the 4th day of Onam celebrations with special performances of tiger painted faces and body. The artists take hours to get themselves painted and look like tigers just to make the festival all the more interesting. People from various locations and places come to witness the spectacular performances that leave them awestruck. It is an amazing festival that should not be missed at all.
