ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station - Gangtok

Meeting at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station by our personnel upon arrival.Transfer to Gangtok - 114 kms and 4.5 hrs drive.At an altitude of 5500 ft Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim,which is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening free for individual activity and leisure.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Excursion Trip to Tsomgo lake and Half day Sightseeing tour at Gangtok

In Morning, start for a half day trip to Tsomgo lake (12400 ft) - 32 kms from Gangtok City. The lake is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep and the lake is considered sacred by the local people.After Lunch, followed by half day sightseeing in and around this capital city of Sikkim covering Chortan, Stupa, Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday) Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Sunday).Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Gangtok to Pemayangtse

In Morning transfer to Pemayangtse -123 kms and 6.5hrs drive, en route visit Ravangla - a small township in South Sikkim located at an altitude of 6800 ft. Pemayangtse is a very small Himalayan village in West Sikkim and Pelling is the nearest motor able point from Mt. Kanchendzonga (Worlds 03rd highest peak) which offers a good sunrise and all day long view of Kanchendzonga and the entire Eastern Himalayan range.Overnight stay at Pelling hotel.

Day 4: Local Sightseeing tour at Pemayangtse

After breakfast, start for half day sightseeing in an around Pemayangtse covering Rimbi Falls, Sacred Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchendzonga Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, & Pemayangtse Monastery (the 2nd oldest monastery of Sikkim) and Darap Village. Evening free for individual activity and leisure.Overnight stay at Pelling hotel.

Day 5: Pemayangtse to Darjeeling

In Morning transfer to Darjeeling, en-route visit Pemayangtse Monastery - 128 kms and 5 hrs drive. Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm and provides a mix-experience of lively nature and charming Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama- Religion which is surrounded by Tea gardens and this little town faces some of the Himalayas highest peaks. Take a rest and then a walk around town to appreciate the new culture. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 6: Local Sightseeing tour at Darjeeling

Early morning start for "Tiger Hill" to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (World’s 3rd highest peak).Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batashia Loop War Memorial while returning to the Hotel. Breakfast at the Hotel followed by half day local sightseeing covering Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday) and visit to the Mall, Local Market (Closed on Thursday). Evening free for shopping, individual activity and there will be overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Transfer to Kalimpong and local Sightseeing tour

In Morning after breakfast, transfer to Kalimpong - 54 kms and 2 hrs drive and later the Local Sightseeing in and around Kalimpong City covering Durpin Dhara, Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brong Monastery, Flower & Orchid Nurseries and Kalimpong Market. Evening free for individual activity. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 8: Kalimpong to New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra

In Morning transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport - 75 kms and 3 hrs drive for further destination.

  • Any Indian National visiting Sikkim requires to carry a Photo ID Proof (Voter ID / Passport / PAN Card / Driving License) in order to obtain Thsongu Lake permit.
  • Non Indian Passport holders are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir.
  • Non Indian Passport holders are required to obtain inner line permit.
