If you are an art lover then this is the place to be in Hyderabad. Salarjung Museum is known for its massive collection of more than 47,000 books, 43000 paintings and around 9000 holographs. This museum gets its name from the owner of antiques it displays. Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, popularly known by the name Salar Jung III was highly passionate about collecting paintings and antiques across the globe. It is said to have been the largest collection of a single person when the Government took over after his death. The museum was opened for public in December 1951.

The Clock Room is undeniably the most interesting feature of this museum showcasing some really mind-blowing clocks and is some 300 antique clocks to its name.
