Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is an international airport which is owned by Schiphol Group, an airport company.
The airport ranks third in the world for largest international passenger traffic. It is connected to over 260 destinations across 91 countries via 99 airlines.
It is the primary hub for Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V. (Royal Dutch Airlines) or KLM, the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands.

The airport uses a one terminal concept, where all facilities are located under a single roof. This one terminal is divided into three halls namely Departure Hall 1, Departure Hall 2 and Departure Hall 3.
It is located in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, just 20 minutes away from the main city of Amsterdam and is well connected by all modes of transport.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), the national Dutch train operator, has a major passenger railway station which is situated directly below the airport. Passengers can board a train and travel to their desired destination.

The airport is easily accessible by bus, as many services call or terminate at the bus station located outside in front of the terminal building.
