The Goa airport, also known as the Dabolim Airport is situated in Dabolim. Located about 4 kms away from the nearest city, Vasco da Gama and 30 kms from the capital city Panjim, this airport caters majorly to the tourists. Although the construction of an integrated terminal was completed in 2013, it still awaits to be made operational. This new terminal is estimated to handle 4 million passengers every year.
Terminal 1: This is the domestic terminal of the airport and connects to cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi. The terminal operates multiple flights to Mumbai every day by 5 airlines. Air India, AirAsia India, Jet Airways and JetKonnect are the major domestic airlines that operate at this terminal.
Terminal 2: This is the international terminal wherein the arrival and departure of a few European Chartered Airlines as well as international airlines including Monarch Airlines and Thomson Airways takes place.
There is a transit lounge on the first floor for all the travellers who need to halt at the airport.
The Miramar Beach, located in Panjim, is one of the most visited beaches in Goa.
Away from the bustling tourist hub, if you are seeking for a secluded environment amidst the groove of cashew trees, the Arambol Beach in Goa is an ideal pick.
The Anjuna Beach is one of the popular and bustling beaches in Goa that fetches tourists all throughout the year.
The Goa International Airport is located 16 kms away from the nearest railways station, Madgaon Railway Station, Goa. There are a number of taxis available outside the airport that ply to the railway station.
Another mode of connectivity towards the major cities of Goa is by bus through the national highway 17A and 17B, which connects to cities like Vasco Da Gama.
Pre paid taxi service is also available at the airport. The pre paid taxi service counter is located outside the terminal.
Car rental services can be availed outside the airport, fares for which happen to be quite nominal.
