The newly built terminal has 450,000 square meters of floor space and 62 boarding gates. It is divided into three parts, a main building and two massive corridors which are 1,050 meters long and 650 meters wide forming a cross shape. The main building has 6 floors out of which 4 are above ground and 2 are underground. The terminal handles both domestic and international arrival/departure flights.
The airport is located 32 kms northwest of the city center and is well connected by all modes of transport.
