This has been the busiest airport of Australia, used by approximately 37.9 million passengers in 2013.
It is also one of the oldest airports and has been in operation since 1919, which got privatised by the Australian Government in 2002.
At present there are three terminals within the airport. These include:
T1- International Terminal:
This terminalis Sydney International Airports handles approximately 12 million passengers every year.
T2- Domestic or Common User Terminal:
This terminal carries all regional and domestic flights from this airport. These are carried by airlines like Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Regional Express, Tiger Airways, Aeropelican and Brindabella Airlines.
T3- Qantas Domestic Terminal:
All domestic flights from Qantas are operated at this terminal. Additionally, Qantaslink functions its regional flights from here too. Inside the airport.
