Centred around a beautiful lake, Kodaikanal's landscapes flaunt undulating hills floored with Shola forests along with magnolia, mahogany, myrtle and rhododendron thickets. But what is most spectacular about Kodaikanal is the Kurinji Shrub which blossoms in lilac blue every 12 years. Expectations were higher for KPN Travels as heard from a recommmending traveller but reality was different. Type: Non-AC, Semi-sleeper bus Punctuality: Agreeable minor delay in departure but reached well on time. Staff behaviour: On-board staff was OK, off-board was not that much satisfactory. They did not seem to care for the broken leg-rest and side-arm. Bus Quality: Pretty POOR. Looks good on the outside. Seats were dirty. Leg-rest and Handle both were supposedly broken and missing on allotted aisle seat and the staff disagreed to change it even on multiple requests!! It was a 12 hours journey. Journey: Bit fast driving (rough?) and met with a small accident due to overtaking issues with another State Govt. bus at around 1:45 AM in the night. Supposedly the fault was the other party's. Front side of the bus suffered some damages. No injuries reported. Stop-over experience: Good.

Worst ever experience. Bus was stopped for more than an hour near Vathalagundu bus stop since there were very less seat occupancy. They asked the passengers to move to other bus because of low occupancy. Near Tambaram again they asked to change to another bus for the person's who are reaching Koyambedu. Totally I took 3 buses to reach Chennai. Worst ever staff behaviour. Too rude with the customer and very poor in organising sleeper seat. Would never recommend anyone to use this bus service.

The bus facilities were average. We could not keep the luggage inside and had to keep it beneath the seats. This led to less leg space. The AC was leaking which robbed me of my sleep. The staff didn't do anything about it. However they stopped the bus when it was requested. Overall a bad experience
