Visit Du-Khang

Du Khang is the main assembly hall of the Alchi Monastery in Ladakh area of Jammu & Kashmir. It is believed that Du Khang is the oldest building of the monastery, built in the 11th century. The hall is mainly used for conducting ceremonies by the monks. It houses the idol of Vairocana Buddha, which is considered as a prime attraction of the place.
