Out of many such sites, Dussehra Dibba or Vijaya Bhavan earned the status of the most impressive structures.

The history of Dussehra Dibba dates back to the era of King Krishnadevaraya. It is the king who implemented his architectural skills in the construction of the temple to commemorate his victory over Udaygiri. Its impressively carved out platforms and carving adorning all walls of the temple are depictions of the king's brilliance, valour and dominance over the region. The ornamental platform holds prominence because the king used to sit here and watch the royal processions during the celebration of Dussehra festvial by Vijaynagara kings.

Few important facts pertaining to the attraction's architecture are:

  • it is one of the tallest structures in the royal enclosure of Hampi,
  • the sides of the platform are ornamented with elaborate carvings of royal processions, musicians, elephants, day to day life and hunting events and
  • the platform's surface at the top open up to captivating views of the surrounding areas.
