Bikaner Travel Guide

Located in the middle of the Great Thar Desert, Bikaner is the fourth largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Bika in 1488. This city is pretty popular for its mouthwatering Bikaneri Bhujias that dates back to the year 1877 and home to the two famous brands like Bikaji and Haldiram’s. The special food for which Bikaner is famous is Bajre ki Roti, Dal Baati Churma, Ghevar, etc.
The major tourist attractions in the city are Junagarh Fort, Laxmi Niwas Palace, Rao Bikaji’s Fort, Karni Mata Temple, Bhandasar Jain Temple, etc. Other tourist attractions are Sand Dunes and Camel Safari. Apart from the forts and food that this city offers, it also hosts a Camel festival known as Bikaner Festival, which is dedicated to camels and seeks the attention of the tourists from far and wide. The best time to visit here is from October to March.

Don't know Road condition from Amritsar to Sri Gangangar.Pl check it, however from Sgnr to Bknr is now a four lane NH.
