Known as the “Steel Capital of India”, Bokaro is located on the banks of the river Damodar and is the largest producer of steel in India. It is located a the height of 690 feet above sea level and situated in the easternmost part of Jharkhand.
It was the main centre for the Industrial Revolution in India in the 1960s and 1970s.
