Bundi is situated 35 kilometres from Kota and is surrounded by hills of Aravalli Range on three sides. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations having beautiful forts and palaces, and stepwell reservoirs also known as Baoris.
Major tourist attractions include Bundi Palace, Jait Sagar Lake, Sukh Mahal, Raniji ki Barori, Phool Sagar, Taragarh Fort, Ishwari Niwas, Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary, Nawal Sagar, Sukh Mahal, Chaurasi Khambon ki Chhatri and many more. It is also known as ‘Choti Kashi’ because of the number of temples it resides. There are more than fifty stepwells in Bundi but only a few of them have been maintained. The best time to visit is in the months between October and March. Kali Teej is the most important festival which is a two-day festival celebrated in the month of Bhadra (August-September).Read More Read Less
