Daman and Diu Travel Guide
Daman and Diu spelled invariably together, are two coastal islands tucked far away on the west coast of Gujarat.
These two islands were under Portuguese influence for around four centuries until the Indian government took control over it. While Daman offers the 17th century St. Jerome Fort, Jampore Beach and amusement park for kids, it is however not suitable for swimming. Diu’s Ghoghla Beach offers good options for water sports like swimming, parasailing, and surfing. Vapi is well connected to Daman through railways and roadways as Diu is connected to Veraval. Regional Gujarati food and Portuguese seafood are available. Both Daman and Diu cater suitable budget-friendly hotels as well as high-end classic resorts for the leisure of its tourists. These two hidden enclaves are best resorts for a quick gateway and quick beach relaxation.
