Situated beautifully on the banks of River Swargavahini, Dharampur is located in the Valsad district of the affluent state of Gujarat. The entry of the city reveals a European manner Rajya Rohan Gate along with Greek manner idols in the town. At present, Dharampur is a home to the international headquarters of the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission.
Dharampur City Guide is incomplete without a mention of its industrial progress and rich heritage. The town was formed as Ramnagar in 1262 and the first ruler who ruled the state was Maharana Ramsingh. The name of the city was given by Dharamdev in 1766. The King Dharma Dev was the ruler of the former princely state of Dharampur.
