Visit Dam Square
Dam Square is the prominent landmark of Amsterdam. It is locally called as ‘The Dam’.
This square is a historical site built around 1270 and close to many notable attractions like the Royal Palace, Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), National Monument, Madame Tussauds, and Amsterdam Central Station. It is also close to the red-light district from the northeast corner of the street. Following the street from the Dam Square, the boulevard are lined with souvenir shops, coffee houses and restaurants.
