Visit Batu Caves
Batu Caves are the limestone caves with stalactite formations located within 15 km from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. It is recognized as a famous Hindu shrine for the Lord Murugan. Visitors get impressed by the giant golden statue of the deity Lord Murugan and a total of 272 steps that lead to the temple.
This place sees a large number of devotees in the months of January and February during the famous festival, Thaipusam. After reaching 204 steps, there is a small cave side known as the Dark Caves. The Dark Caves has a range of insects and reptiles and unique limestone formations and can only be entered with permissions. The entry to the temple is free and visitors can visit anytime.
