Visit Dataran Lang (Eagle Square)
Dataran Lang is an attention-grabbing star-shaped deck at Kuah Jetty. It is one of the postcard attractions of Langkawi that gives the tourists ferrying through to enjoy the stopover.
It is also known as Eagle Square; it has a giant sculpture of an eagle, about 12 metre high, constructed in a flying pose. As per the folklore, the eagle is the main source for the origin of the name of the city. Using the two Malay words – helang (eagle) and kawi (reddish brown), this city get its name as Langkawi.
