Macau’s historical attraction, Ruins of St. Paul's are the remains of 17th century-church. The complex consists of the Church of St. Paul and adjacent Jesuit St. Paul College. The church was designed by Italian Jesuit and constructed by Chinese craftsmen and Japanese exiles.

In 1835, the fire destroyed the church, the college complex and left remains what we see today. The facade of the church led by the grand staircase attracts a lot of tourists from different parts of the world. The concrete facade is decorated with the images carved of the Virgin Mary, Baby Jesus, the Holy Father, Chinese dragons and inscriptions. Behind the facade are old pillar remains and St. Paul’s Museum with Chinese and Jesuit artefacts.
