Desert Festival: The desert festival in Jaisalmer is held each year in the month of February. There are several cultural events, camel races, folk performances and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state of Rajasthan. This three day festival is meant to showcase mainly the local events, as well as folk dance and music performances. This festival is organized by Rajasthan tourism. Tourists may take camel safaris or SUVs to reach the venue. This festival is also known as the Rajasthan desert festival and attracts tourists from various places.

Ramdevra Fair: The Ramdevra fair is organized in the village of Ramdevra situated near Jaisalmer. This festival is meant to pay tribute to the famous saint Baba Ramdev. This village was the home of this saint who was a Tanwar Rajput. Several Hindu and Muslim devotees come to the Samadhi of Baba Ramdev in the village and offer coconuts, choorma, rice and toys made of wood. This festival is celebrated in the months of August or September.

Basant Panchami: The festival of Basant Panchmi is celebrated in the month of February. This festival is meant to worship goddess Saraswati. Special poojas are performed in houses and the devotees apply special teeka on their forehead. Women prepare special dishes and sweets. This festival also marks the termination of winter season and the beginning of spring.
