A wonderful scenic place, Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is located at a distance of 42 Kms from the city in the Nilgiri hills where the Eastern Ghats meet the Western Ghats and is also known as the Tiger Reserve. This wildlife is spread an area of 32,155 hectares and includes valley, swamp, flat land and open grassland in this place. It is very popular for its Spotted deer, Elephants, Langur, Wild boar, Tiger, Leopard, Jackal, Flying squirrel, Hyena and Mouse deer etc.
