Kutch is a beautiful district in the Indian state of Gujarat. With vast white salty marshlands and protected reserves, this mighty place comes first in the must-visit list. The well-loved place of Kutch is the Rann of Kutch. It becomes a wetland in the monsoon season and gets dry in other seasons.
Rann of Kutch lights up during the Rann Utsav Festival in the months of December and February. Hot-air ballooning, cultural performances, and camping adventures attract travellers from all over the world. Some popular protected reserves include Flamingo Sanctuary, Banni Grasslands Reserve, Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary, Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary, Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary, and more. Bhuj, Mandvi, Dholavira, Gandhidham and Anjar are the prominent places to visit. November to February is a good time to enjoy Kutch. Some attractions to visit are Mandvi Beach (hosts kite-flying competition), Kutch Museum, Aina Mahal, Kalo Dungar and more. Embroidered garments and hand-crafted items are sold in the local villages.
