The distance from Coimbatore to Ooty is approximately 90kms where as from Chennai it approximately 550kms. One can even reach Ooty by road from Madurai, which is approximately 290 kms away. If you are in Hyderabad, it is going to take you half a day to reach Ooty. One needs to cover a distance of 850kms by road from Hyderabad. The approximate distance from Tirupati to Ooty is 540kms. Ooty encircles vast foliage dotted with wild lives and thus one can even drive to the Mukerti National Park and Lake, Madumali National Park and Bandipur National Park. The distance from Bangalore to Ooty is approximately 270kms whereas from Mysore to Ooty is only 120kms. Best place to stay depends on what you are looking for dear. If you want to visit different places then there are many hotels in the city Centre to choose from on goibibo n other travel sites. If you want a relaxing soulful experience then go away from the main city n spend a day or two there. You can try Mystique ville at Kallahati. Away from the hustle bustle of the city, its a vintage property with good restaurant

It is very difficult I don't think it will be confirmed. but u can enjoy toy train from ooty to coonoor or coonoor to ooty
