Visit Kali Devi Mandir

Located at Mall Road of Patiala, Kali Devi Temple is a popular religious place of both Hindus and Sikhs. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and draws a lot of pilgrims every year who come to seek divine blessings for eternal happiness. Its most treasured possession is a collection of manuscript leaves which is believed to be written by the revered Rishi Vyas, the author of the Indian epic Mahabharata.

It is said that these manuscripts were brought here by Maharaja Narendra Singh from the Badri Narayan Temple in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.

  • There is another temple within the Kali Devi Temple complex, dedicated to Shiva which draws large crowd on Mondays.
