Central Government declared the National Park as 19th Tiger Reserve of India in the year 1992. Pench Sanctuary was renamed as ‘Mowgli Pench Sanctuary’ and Pench National Park was renamed as ‘Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park’ in the year 2002.
