Rajahmundry is a small town in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was built by the King Raja Raja Narendra in the 19th century after whom the city was named. It is known as the ‘Cultural Capital of Andhra Pradesh’ because of its historic, cultural and economic backgrounds.
It is believed to be the birthplace of the Telugu language as well. Popular tourist-friendly places are Sri Kotilingeshwara Temple, Sri Bala Tripura Sundari Temple and Iskcon Temple (also known as Gowthami Ghat).
