A celebration of life, festivities and culture of Kutch and Gujarat is what we know as Rann Utsav. The picturesque “White Desert” comes to life on a full moon night, when the region wakes to an endless cycle of dance, and where century old traditions are revived in a celebration.
This festival provides an exclusive opportunity to witness the creative ingenuity of the artisans and craftspeople, assorted array of folk music and performances, mixed representation of culture and communities, along with a vast diversity in ecology. Kutch Rann Utsav is the shimmering landscape that gives the enchanting moments of this Fest, which feels like as Heaven On Earth during Festival Time. In fact, it’s a Family holiday destination to explore fun moments and store in cameras for life time. Rann utsav official dates announced, it will be from 1st December 2018 to 20th February 2019.
Organized by the Gujarat Tourism Department, Rann Utsav is a cultural extravaganza that takes place at various locations within Kutch in Gujarat, India. This Utsav or fair showcases traditional art forms of India. The fair celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of the Kutch district and highlights the cultural splendor of Gujarat.
Held annually during the full moon time in winters, the Rann Kutch Utsav features Kutch that is widely different with finely diffused spectrum of Indian traditional art forms. The Utsav includes cultural and folk dances, music, craftsmanship, carnival processions, pageantry and an encapsulation of the true spirit and zeal of Kutch inhabitants.
Enjoying the shades of full moon with folk music and dance forms in chilling winters is an enchanting experience.

The Rann Utsav is a unique opportunity for people around the world to visit Kutch and experience the true flavor of this beautiful arid region. Enjoy living in tents, evening bonfires and watch artisans at work. Dance with the local folk dancers and enjoy going for camel safaris. The beautiful traditional and ethnic stuff displayed by local artists and NGOs is worth buying.
You can travel to Kutch by taking a flight to Bhuj, the administrative city of Kutch. From there you can hire a taxi to Kutch. To explore Kutch at its best, it is best to travel by road. The wild and raw beauty of the region is simply amazing. There are a number of buses available from Ahmedabad to this place. You can also board the Kutch Express from Mumbai, via Ahmedabad and up to Gandhinagar. From there, you can reach your destination by road.
