  • Jantar Mantar

Located at Parliament Street, Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory that was constructed in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur. The main purpose of the observatory was to predict the times and movements of the sun, moon and planets, which is today classified as astronomy. The observatory houses three distinct instruments - the Samrat Yantra, the Jayaprakash and the Mishra yantras.

  • Raj Ghat

Located on the banks of the river Yamuna, Raj Ghat is a memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.

  • Lajpat Nagar

Who does not love shopping? And to purchase items at rates that gets your heart pounding makes the icing on the cake. Lajpatnagar in New Delhi is a one-stop destination for shopaholics who are choosy about their picks but are not loose on their pockets either. Even the chaotic streets and raucous traffic cannot lower the spirit of the people who keep the market flooded at all earthly times.

  • Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

One of the prominent Sikh pilgrimage centers in Delhi, the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is located on Ashok Road with close proximity to the Connaught Place. The history of this gurudwara dates back to the 17th century, when it was the palace of Raja Jai Singh. It is said that in the year 1664, Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji, the eighth Sikh Guru came to visit the King and cured people who were contracted with smallpox and cholera epidemic by distributing them water from the tank. That water tank, used by the Guru, still exists today inside the gurudwara and is believed to possess medicinal properties.
