Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Sri Lanka

Welcome to Colombo! On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, our representative will meet you and escort you to the vehicle outside the airport. Get set for a memorable holiday in Sri Lanka. En route to your destination, you can stop and visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. You will get to see how caretakers and volunteers take care of numerous orphaned and injured elephants within the park. They feed them, bathe them and provide them shelter. Here, you can even walk with the herd to the nearby river and watch them bathe and play in the water. (Entrance fees not included). Later check in to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 2: Kandy City Tour
After a hearty breakfast, start with your city tour of Kandy. The last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka, Kandy is known for its immense natural beauty and ancient architecture. It is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage sites of Sri Lanka, where picturesque lake, the country's longest river and green grassland add pleasure to your eyes. Your city tour will include visit to the Temple of Tooth Relic, known as Dalada Maligawa in Sri Lanka. It is not only a world heritage site, but also one of the sacred places for Buddhists from all over the world. A visit to the Temple of Tooth Relic will be followed by a visit to Kandy Lake. Enjoy a leisure walk along the lakeside and then head for a visit to Gem Museum. Here you can see a wide range of semi- precious gems, known as the sapphires of Sri Lanka. In the evening, you will be taken for a traditional cultural dance show. (Entrance fees to sites not included). Return back to hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 3: Proceed from Kandy to Nuwareliya and later to Ramayana Sites

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman temple. (0900 hrs.) (Approximately 1 hrs drive). Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda On the Ramboda Hills, where Hunuman was searching for Sita, there, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka had built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. Thousands of devotees throng the place on a regular basis and special poojas are conducted on every full moon day. After visiting this temple, you will be taken to Seetha Amman Temple. Seetha Amman Temple, Seetha Eliya. (Approximately 20 minute drive) Here, the stream that runs from the hill catered to the needs of Sita during her stay at Ashoka Vatika. Now, there rests a temple, dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman. It is interesting to note that foot prints similar to that of Lord Hanuman are found by this river. After a visit to the temples, check in to the hotel. In the evening visit the Gayathri Pedam in Nuwara Eliya. Gayathri Pedam It is said to be the place from where Ravanas son Meghanath appeased Lord Shiva with penance and prayers and was in turn granted super natural powers by Lord Shiva. Enjoy your dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Proceed from Nuwaraeliya to Kitulgala and later to Bentota
After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed for Kitulgala followed by Bentota. Bentota is fondly called The City of Golden Beaches. Here you get a chance to relax, feel the spirit of the ocean and enjoy the warmth of soft sand. Madu River is another picturesque water body in Sri Lanka. It is a paradise of nature where the river and sea water mix with perfection. You can enjoy boat safari in Madu River and capture the sights of small islands nestled here and there by the river. Mangrove forests and various species of birds and animals will come your way during the boat cruise. Have a sumptuous dinner and enjoy overnight stay in Bentota.

Day 5 : At leisure in Bentota

Have a hearty breakfast in Bentota. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Enjoy the day on your own by swimming, relaxing on the beach or catching a glimpse of local life. .

Day 6: Proceed from Bentota to Colombo & enjoy city tour

After breakfast, start your journey for Colombo. The largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo is a vibrant mix of modern and colonial structures. Its architecture spans centuries and depict various styles influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, British, Buddhist, Hindu and Islam. The fort area in the heart of Colombo is the best place to witness such the architectural grandeur. Your city tour may include visit to famous places including Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, Twin World Trade Center Towers, Old Parliament Building, Fort district, Independence Hall at Independence Square. (Entrance fees to sites not included). Colombo is known for numerous shopping malls and departmental stores that sell branded products at discounted prices. Therefore, for shopping, you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc. (Total time allocated for city tour is 3 hours). Return back to the hotel at night. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 7: Depart from Colombo
