Sun Island Resort & Spa Maldives

It was a pleasant experience and had a good time.. Only issue to this resort which people should think before booking is about the transfer from Male to sun island , as it involves a domestic flight and ferry transfer (total time - 25 mins) . The domestic flight can make u wait for more than 5 hrs in Male so due to which u fee ur precious time to spend in the resort is getting wasted in the airport lobby or lounge.. If sun island can upfront infrom the guest about the domestic flight timings,it ll be helpful for the tourist to plan their internation flight accordingly. in my case i wasted 10 hrs (arrival in male - 5 hrs and dep male - 5 hrs) due to the dometic flight transfer but apparently sun island manager - Ali and Abdul Hafiz heard my concern and arrange for a lounge in male so the waiting time wasnt that stressful ..Otherwise beautiful property and worth the visit and time . Extremely Beautiful resort and perfect location for all Honeymooners. We just loved our 2 day stay at Superior Beach Bungalow. The beach was just in front of our room and we had lot of privacy at the beach which was a plus one. The rooms were clean. Specifically, I loved the shower they have provided outside the bathrooms to head straight & remove sand after u come from the beach. We were at 31st Dec night beach party which was grand. I loved the fireworks, belly dance and fire dance to be specific. Even though there were 600 people at the party, they ensured to provide excellent service on that busy night. The Gala dinner was literally Gala as per the name.

Sun island is one of the largest island resort based out in Maldives, its completely eco froendly and no pollution spqce, which you can completely feel once you step in. The rooms are normally ok, where its not soo stupendous neither too croocked to live in. Its an economy hotel, so you cant expect uber category of rooms! But its worth every penny of what they charge! I stayed there for more than a week, tried every water sport and enjoyed like hell!! Food options are great if you are a foodie!! Overall i would rate 4.5/5 !! Cheers..!

The overall stay has been excellent. Sun Island Resort & Spa Maldives takes care of each and everything. The prices are reasonable for all the services. All the amenities are top class. All Sun Island Resort & Spa Maldives staff are extremely polite and supportive at all the times . Best thing i loved was that you dont need to carry any card or cash at any point in time and wifi was available at all places. Design of Sun Island Resort & Spa Maldives is extremely romantic. The bicycle which we took was really nice .

experience was good. service was good at the time of arrival. while departing, you will not even get a glass of water. sun island must have different cars or at least they must keep some cars in front of water villa area. if you are staying in water villa it means you are already spending a lot. but if you don't rent cycle, you have to walk a lot and its so tiring if you have played sports or danced or had some drinks. staff was great. very friendly, helping and are always smiling.

The water bungalow was beautiful. Specially, we had the opportunity to see the sunrise from our room which was plus one to our visit. We booked 2 nights at beach bungalow and 1 night at water bungalow which was perfect. Everything was perfect from food, the activities, room, location and service. Will definitely visit them again and recommend to our friend and family as well.

Stay went well, amazing location with beautiful beaches! Staff is too friendly and will make your stay worth every penny you spend! Advice: Pack lots of sun-screen in case you are planning for Maldives! Use full arm swimming/snorkelling suit. Bring your own snorkelling mask and equipments!

Wonderful Location, great food(even for indian vegetarian). So many options...big resort... didnt felt like leaving the place... will definitely visit again...Liked the superior beach villa more than water villa...

sun island has a brilliant location situated on an island surrounded by clear blue waters , colourful corals and fish moreover it also includes excellent amenities like service, food, drinks and entartainment

Resort is at par with 5 star luxury. Luxury filled with natural beauty all around. Only issue is travel to reach destination from male airport. You will easily waste 2 days if you choose this destination

Superb experience nice food some indian dishes but need to improvement in indian dishes. Overall best experience Room are interconnected so its very easy to care your childrens

Staff was polite and co-operative. Location and all ambiance was nice. Food was good, but there was time boundation in the property for going out and coming back.
