I have been travelling for the last 10yrs and stayed across India mostly south India. This is my first worst experience. When I called the hotel to inform me of my late check in they told me that they don't have rooms. Then I told the situation that I am traveling alone, so as a single lady I can't search hotels late at night. After that they confirmed my bookingSecond thing please don't stay in this hotel. Reception staff behaviour is decent. The room is not clean and a bad smell in it. The bed linen was not clean and so much of the cockroaches were there. I feel I will vomit here. There is no water for drinking. The bathroom is pathetic. Bathroom cleaning may be done a month ago. I am writing this at 11.40pm after a long journey and totally feels sleepy. That much i feel bad here. I have to be here till morning because I can't search for another option now.

one year before i am a frequent customer of south gate, but now im totally disappointed with their current approach and way of service, for ex: iam asked for a kettle at the time of checking but i again i have asked four times to get the same, Room and bathroom maintenance was very bad, Muddy water in bathroom, flush not working, bad smell in room aswell as bathroom, also receptionist behavior and response should improve

Very pathetic hotel. They charged 688 extra for ac room. The room was not neat.There was no fan, when I asked they said it's in the 4 th floor the roof is so low so that they can't fix fans..But with the same charge they are giving all facilities at the 3 rd floor. Donot recommend this hotel at all.

The place is a old hotel, but the amenities are nice and place is comfy, they don't generally accept booking, they will accept the booking if it's for a day or less.The place is safe and beds were comfy, amenities like towel and the bathroom were clean and nice. Staff was courteous not shady

I have a nice stay experience in this hotel..Rooms are big and clean..Good looking and wow atmosphere..Smal car parking facility available..Staff behaviour is good..No resturant available..Value for money also..

The location is good walking distance from the railway station, the room was good, the staff behaviour is good and the only restaurant facility was not there. overall experience was nice 👍☺️

worst rooms and no word called hygiene.. i can get this rooms at 500 rupees anywhere in trivandrum. and no toiletries, no dental kit ..pls dont book here...

the bathroom is not in a good working condition. shower was broken and no soap or body wash. and the blanket in the bed was torn. room smell was not good

Very bad experience. The receptionist was the worst ever. He didn't let us check in. We struggled a lot at the hotel and got shifted after 1 hour.

Full of cockroach 🪳. I slept with all the cockroaches in my bed. It was a horrible experience. before COVID it was good.
