Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa

avoid!! not close to taj or other five stars at all!! starting from the check in, where the reception was full of staff but all was busy roaming there. just 3 guests arrived one after another and the reception staff was unable to manage and lost the control. the management is a total failure in managing the property in all the fronts. the low level staff tries hard to cover up but they are directionless due to their inefficient management most of the times. during my stay, there was a local family of 50 plus members allowed in the common dining area and it became a fish market. the staff were trying really hard to cope up with the unexpected guests in such large and the managers were roaming totally clueless. the dishes were getting over and they were unable to refill. the guests were feeling really uncomfortable but there was no attempt from the management to improve anything. it was a total failure by the management there. there was another large group of large corporate outing causing lots of disturbance to the other family guests and half of resort staff busy taking of that group. on top of that, the food quality was too bad and the variety was very limited. we had asked for on demand food items, which they obliged but with a long delay that you lose interest in the food. we visited this property after a stay in taj and given the price point, we were looking for better stay here, however to our disappointment, noting could match the expection. just a nice property does not bring a good experience, it's they esy they manage and look after small small things and take care of the guests well.

Best Resort in Madikeri - Coorg. Well connected to City but still isolated and get indulged into nature. Built at a height over Acres of land. Had a great stay at our Suite. Food was good. Resort provides various activities in house including nature walk and bird watching.happy with the service provided. Active and attendive staffs. Quick and positive actions on things requested. Pros: * Spacious Rooms and well maintained standards * Staffs were very supportive and quick in action * Built in centre of nature on a peak will love the nature/ valley view * Had different food options- Habba and vebinad for South Indian cuisine. *Spa wellness services at the resort was upto mark. Cons: null Staffs to name a few for the sevices provided- Debanjali (front ofc/ reception), Chef Susee (Luvly food), Aravind , Prashant.. etc. Thanks for the service provided. They should fix some key aspects at their premise , for everything they keep saying they are new and will improve as they finish their project. Why charge premium on losing out on basic aspects,like no temp controlled pool,no room service, xmas dinner was poorly managed, TV only with basic channels, hair drier and iron box available on request, very limited high tea options ( was like udupi service).kids play area they are trying to learn it seems, refreshments at room are very limited, no fun quotient at resort which keeps people entertained there. Only two aspects very courteous staff and brilliant rooms. Which star should be awarded with only those two being good and other aspect a big let down. I am sure they will take this feedback seriously and work on it quickly.

The property itself is 5 star and deserves 5 star rating, with the most picturesque location, acres of greenry and host of activities to keep you busy and the staff and food top class. I am only hloding back 1 star due to its lack of facility for drivers. We were travelling with our driver, after paying more than 20k a night, I would expect them to provide meals to drivers and other facilities. The driver facility are lack luster.
