The room assigned with the booking is very small with a single occupancy capacity. The bed in the room was extremely small and definitely not a comfortable option for 2 adults to sleep. Before booking we even enquired about the room and bed enough for 2 adults and they confirmed over the phone and assured the comfort and they recommended the booking we proceeded with. Also the photos tagged with the room don't give proper understanding of the room size including no proper picture of the bed. One more concern during booking we faced was that in the standard room option, there are pictures of 2 separate rooms and the picture for the bed which was shown to be a big comfortable option was not from the same room assigned. Also, EDM hostel joked around stating 3 men could and have slept in that room, during our attempt to ask for the room change and as being female travelers we were looking for proper comfort and sleep after a full day of travelling. The experience left a bitter taste and added expense as we had to pay extra to get an upgrade which we felt was unethical considering the situation it should have been free (but we ended up paying up 4K extra) and definitely a dent on the budget.

From Thursday to Sunday, the hostel comes alive with deep beats, mesmerizing lights, and a crowd that truly knows how to vibe. What truly sets EDM Hostel apart, though, is how safe and thoughtful it is—especially for solo female travelers like me. The staff genuinely care, and it shows. One thing that really impressed me: they keep sanitary pads available at the restaurant, free and easily accessible, no awkwardness at all. They even keep doctor-recommended medication for period pain at the front desk, which is such a rare and thoughtful touch. From community vibes to dancefloor highs, this place is the perfect blend of party and comfort, with real heart behind it. Whether you’re here to rave, relax, or meet new people, EDM Hostel hits all the right notes.

i had an absolutely incredible stay at edm hostel in dharamkot, dharamshala! nestled at an altitude of over 6900 feet, this place offers breathtaking views of the himalayan mountains, making it the perfect location for those looking to unwind amidst nature's beauty. the hostel is spotlessly clean, with a welcoming and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home. the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of hygiene. what truly sets edm hostel apart, though, are the vibrant edm-themed events they host regularly. the music, the energy, and the atmosphere are simply electrifying! and let's not forget the cuisine—delicious local and international dishes that cater to all tastes. whether you’re here for the music, the views, or the hospitality, edm hostel is a must-visit for anyone traveling to dharamshala. can't wait to return!

This hostel is located at a wonderful spot but the girls dorm was not kept neat at all. The day I checked in, I was resting because of the long travel and was woken up by loud music that startled me!! The hall they host "parties" is situated on a floor below the dorms and the vibrations of the music are felt on your bed!! All in all, this was such a disappointing experience for me. I was woken up by loud Punjabi music the next morning as well. If you're looking for something less active and relaxing, this is definitely not the place for you!

edm hostel has a great vibe and aesthetic ambience, with boho cafes and pretty lighting, perched right on a cliff. however, it’s hard to reach—about 4 km uphill from mall road, mcleodganj. the female dorm was basic but poorly maintained. there were frequent power cuts, no water most of the time, and the place wasn’t clean. it’s tough when you can’t even charge your phone or use water in the morning. overall, the ambience is nice, but the facilities are a big letdown. i’d suggest picking a better hostel.

i stayed at edm hotel for 3 days and 3 nights, and the experience was absolutely awesome! from the warm vibes to the amazing people, every moment felt special. a big shoutout to mukesh at the bar – that man is pure bholenath energy! i loved every soul i met here, and the entire place felt like a beautiful, peaceful escape. can’t wait to come back again. highly recommended!

EDM is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! The hospitality and food were excellent and the staff was incredibly helpful. I didn’t face any issues during my stay. A special shoutout to Siddharth, the manager for being so supportive. I’d definitely love to visit again!

Place has amazing vibe and ambience. The dorn are good with comfortable matress/beddings. They have parties from Friday to Sundays. Location is nice with a great view. Food was also good however, only thing which I didn't like is the price of food. It way too expensive.

my partner and i planned to stay here for one day, but ended up staying for 4 days. the place is beautiful, scenic, clean and situated on the crown of upper dharamkot. you look down at the entire dharmkot-mcleod-dharmshala landscape from the hostel

It is basically a hostel but a very few private rooms. The vibe of EDM is great. You will mostly see solo travelers, adventurers, musicians etc. at EDM. Between Thursday and Sunday there is a party. The dining area is fantastic.
