Amul Dairy Museum, Anand
The 'Milk Capital of India', Anand came into limelight with the White Revolution and the setting-up of the Amul industry. The Amul Dairy houses the Amul Dairy Museum within its premises which is a tribute to Dr. V. Kurien, the'Father of Milk Revolution' in India. The museum was opened to public on 26th November 2000, marking the 80th birthday of the legend.
The main building, surrounded by a water-body, is in red bricks and a fountain welcomes guests at the entrance. The pathway to the photo gallery is embellished with photographs that speak volumes of the step-by-step metamorphosis in the dairy industry with each photograph having a wonderful tale to unfurl. An auditorium with nearly 100 seats is the other attraction of the place wherein documentaries are screened along with workshops, seminars and other relevant programs being hosted.
