Hotel Karohi Haveli

1. Room- the blankets are those which we get in 3AC without any covers and the fixings everywhere are loose.eg. you have to hold the tap before opening it. 2. Food- when ordering was told that Italian, Chinese, continental, tandoori isn't available. there were 2 dishes available in total which you could choose in chicken /paneer. With only roti. No naan, no paranthe. Only soup available was tomato. So If you think you'll sit outside and have a nice hot bowl of soup..you are wrong because that tomato soup was also so tasty that you'd rather drink some hot water instead. 3. Service- reception doesn't do anything. All the hotels I have stayed in if called and asked to send some water say - yes sir. But not this place , they say sir please call the restaurant for water and the best part is you can go fill water from the lake by walking for 200 odd metres but they wouldn't pick up and serve you water. 4. Crowd- well there was someone who felt so cheated he made sure the entire udaipur knows how he felt and you could hear kids crying and well this was the most amusing part of this place for some because atleast you are getting some gossip. Finally I would like to say , if you read this review don't even have a doubt and just make sure you sleep on the road or maybe your own car but not in this place. There is a lot which is lacking ranging from basic amenities which are available in every hotel to general service...the nice decor that you see in photos is of the cheapest quality with paint marks everywhere

My experience was not good in Haveli/Hotel since i had heating argument with owner himself (which apparently i didn't knew he is owner) over Palace Suite Room and it ruined my entire trip. He insulted me in front of his staff and instructed them not to allocate any room to my family. So Shocked with such hospitality. As it was long weekend with less availability option nearby, i have to compromise and stay there with shame.Palace Suite Room pictures shown has 2 rooms, One bedroom and another Living Room with total 700 sq.ft. But they will allocate Single Room with 315 sq.ft and they will argue that it is Palace Suite and deny with Posting. Photos attached for reference.In Short, Pros and Cons:Pros: Hotel Ambience is nice, Lake view is awesome, Centric Location, Now lift has been installed.Cons: Bed maintainance issue as it makes noise, You will find Cobwebs, TV Cable Subscription not taken, Room Standard Allocation Issue (As faced my me), Food is costly.Overall, I would recommend you to stay but cautiously.

I stayed with my mom and sister and with some discrepancy because about the rate on the ****, person on reception was so rude that he didn't let my folks in after the confirmation of early check in and said we wont accept that rate which is mentioned on ***. service was another biggest problem with them. each and everytime we had to call 3-4 times to get something in the room. and room was horrible as it was a close room with mosquitoes and as I was traveling with a small infant. after I spoke to ***then the rate issue was finally resolved and room was changed later. it was quite obvious that they were differentiating between foreigners and Indians. it was disappointing stay. my family really didn't enjoy. pool was really cold and not clean. being a hotelier I could figure out the services and I would not put it even 1 star hotel.

The staff behavior was very good..provided a good service...room was clean and spacious...but just power backup problem was there..and no hot water was available although mentioned at the time of booking...food was good..cleanliness wise also good..but next day when asked for cleaning the room..they cleaned but not properly... no complimentary service was there..Lake Pichola is near by..and since i had booked Room 205, so the view of the lake was good..can go by walk..just 1 km away...from window lake view was easily available...very peaceful area..but not possible to go by car, only by walk or two wheeler can reach the hotel...It was like a heritage property, having a Haveli type look.
