KipStay Coffea Cove | Rooms in a Homestay

Kipstay Coffea Cove is located on the Chikmagalur Muthodi Road. The property is about 600meters away from the main road. The road to the resort is good though and is made of concrete. Located at an elevation of 1275 meters from the ground you will see plenty of birds here. Its around 17-18kms away from the town making it ideal. The property is surrounded by coffee plantations.The room have basic facility and the property have electricity 24x7, geyser, Bsnl internet, mobile service is also available and doesnt have things like kettle, tea/coffee maker etc. There are few activities one can do here like badminton, chess, carom etc. But if you are looking to spend time in the lapse of nature than this is a perfect getaway.The breakfast had one item and it felt less. They should add one or two items more to the breakfast. But whatever we had was tasty. We tried the upma which chutney on day 1 and dosa which chutney and sambar on day 2. Tea/coffee is also included.One can order lunch/dinner at 300/head. They usually have a curry, dal, rasam, chapati, rice, curd and papad. The food was homely and wholesome. We tried Paneer and Mushroom curry on each of the days which was made in manchurian style. The food was delicious overall.They should add few more activities here especially for kids. A swing will go long way. Basketball/cricket can also be added. A caretaker and his family lives here 24x7 and the owner lives in the town. We really missed a nature walk that can be arranged here.

My parents and I stayed at Kipstay Coffea Cove in January 2020 for 3 days (2 nights). Our stay was wonderful to stay the least. The homestay is located in the middle of a beautiful coffee estate in Chikmagalur. Nitin was a wonderful and very friendly host. Our room was quite cozy and comfortable. Nitin also took us to a private trek. The trek was beautiful with truly incredible views at the top. There is also a small temple at the top of the hill at the end of the trek. We took a taxi to travel to Mullayanagiri peak, Jhari falls, and Baba Budangiri; and a few other places. Nitin arranged a cab for us and the driver of the cab was a very friendly person who made our travel very comfortable. One of the best things in the homestay was the food. It was delicious, home-made, and surprisingly very healthy. Nitin's mother and an other individual did magic with the food. The homestay was a great place to chill out and relax in the midst of nature! The nice thing is that we did not feel we stayed at a hotel because it felt like home. I will recommend this place for all.

Amazing homestay. loved the food and at night for all the guests there is a bonfire. visit in between November to January if you wanna enjoy the weather or go for small trek to see coffee plantation and pepper plantation. The best part is they have lots of beautiful flowers, it gives you a positive vibe everyday when u wake up. thanks Nithin and his family for the warm welcome.

Owner and staff behavior was good and friendly. Amenities were not enough. Room was very small. Services were good. There was dinning facility, it was home cooked food and also one has to inform early itself whether they want to have food or not. Complimentary breakfast was provided.
