This place is really extremely beautiful and it's located in a picturesque valley. In-house delicious foods are available at the rooftop cafe. Avtar Bhai is always there for any help during the stay and each and every staff is very friendly and helpful and you will find this property not less than a home anytime. The main market area is just 1 km from the hostel and you can find cars and scooter to move around here. The property is neat and clean throughout and Rocket, the German Shepherd staying at the property, offers a joyous company throughout your stay. Everyone coming here will be returning with a smile and lots of good memories and this is bound to happen.

I can say that Live Free Hostel is a top-notch accommodation. The cleanliness and well-maintained facilities stood out, creating a comfortable and pleasant stay. The host's warm and helpful demeanor added an extra touch of hospitality. The dorms were remarkably spacious, offering ample room for relaxation. Furthermore, the consistently clean washrooms made for a refreshing experience. As a woman, I felt secure throughout my stay. it's more than a hostel, the live free hostel, mcleodganj. what an ambience, what a location, just everything was more than perfect. and all the staff here are very helpful and gentle in nature. this hostel has a german shepherd dog named rocket and his presence makes the stay here more memorable. with everything, the feeling of staying in this hostel is so good that you don't want to leave it.

The location of the hostel is really nice with a wonderful view of the mountain, calm and quiet area ,safe for women traveller's..The location provide additional benefits of viewing the main areas by walking, everything was nice except the staffs behavior..we felt they were little bit rude. hospitality can be improved,whether you are tired or whatever you need to behave with traveller's nicely

We had an incredible family stay at Live Free. The check-in process was smooth. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities a family could need. The kids were thrilled with activities/ games placed in common area. The view from our balcony was stunning, offering a picturesque glimpse of the surrounding landscape. Food was also tasty, hygienic and pocket friendly

Stay was awesome and the rooms were comfy. Staff behaviour and room service is also awesome. Special mention to the manager Mr. Avatar, he is such a cool guy and very friendly. he shared some of his writings and it was lovely. I'm gonna miss the bonfire and ghost stories while having a glass of delicious hot chocolate.

rooms, food and staff all were amazing. enjoyed a lot in common area. staff was very co-operative. rooms were clean. food was tasty. overall a good stay and highly recommended. experienced a lot about travelling alone and meeting new people and knowing about them. experienced the true purpose of life.

Situated little away from the main mall road Live Free hostel is a perfect stop for yourself or a trip with friends who are looking for a comfortable dorm. Activities and games were limited, food options and mesmerising views from terrace were a plus point.

why people giving it 5 star? I live in a mixed dorm with 4 beds, but have no idea if I'm living in a room or a bus stand. everybody is just using bathroom 100 times & I can't sleep.
