Hotel Madhuban Highlands

I stayed in last week of may. Stay was good, we booked valley view room which is nice and comfortable.We came to Dehradun by train and already had booked from Dehradun to Mussoorie and to and fro for our three days stay, so we don't have to rely on local transport. Pros- The Hotel was nice and comfort place to stay. Clean, staff was supportive. The food was nice with moderate spices liked by all of us. Parking space is there. Cons- Phone line disrupted on the first day but that was not hotel issue I guess. Free wifi was there but very weak signals so not able to connect. No kids channel available in tv, but for that, I guess we came not to watch tv but to enjoy other things. No swimming​ pool.

Overall hotel was good. Some improvement review are as follows:- 1) Transport should be provided to pick and drop to main road. As it is too high to walk. 2) Internet wifi of hotel was not working at all during my stay. If this facility cannot be availed then better remove it from one of facility mentioned. 3) Pool table should be available till 10PM at least. We rarely able to use this facility after 10AM and before 7PM. 4) Staff should asked other guest to not to make noise in night after 11PM or playing music so high that other guests are getting disturbed. Ideally discipline should be maintained for all so that other can rest and relax at beautiful place.

I would rate 3 out of 5. First day experience was not brilliant, we upgraded our rooom to valley view with 1000 rs xtra charge .. so when we entered the room the door bell, mini fridge were not working. We had to call again n again to get sorted. After that the cushions were very dirty to be used seems not changed since long. The good part is housekeeping staff are really good. Food were tasty, breakfast spreak is less and some dessert should be included in dinner. Lastly the view was awesome .. moderate stay .. for kids the play room were not upto the mark.

It was overall very good experience at Madhuban Highland, Mussoorie. Hotel facilities, staff behaviour, room condition all were very well maintained and polished. Only lacking I found was with food menu, it has very limited choices of food varieties whether it is veg or non-veg although tastes was good, this situation lies with drinks even. Except this everything was superb. And, I'm giving 4 star rating to this, 1 star lacks only for varieties of foods option lacking.
