Hotel Misty Woods

Overall I would recommend you to stay in their Super Deluxe Rooms. Read the pros & cons below for details. Pros 1. Located at Jogibara Road just 600-700 meters from the main square. 2. Manager Neeraj & the staff is friendly & helpful. They helped us with all our queries, gave us an overview of Dharamshala & the main tourist attraction & their distances from the hotel. 3. We stayed in Super Deluxe room on the 3rd floor [Room no 402]. The room was clean, had 24 hour hot water & the LED TV with cable with all the popular channels. Room had several large windows [see the attached pics] & had lots of natural sunlight specially in the morning hours. Really good view from balcony overlooking the mountains & big trees. Standing in the balcony it felt as if we were in a tree house. Cons. 1. Not a big con but they don't serve food in house. Although there is a menu in the room from an outside vendor who can deliver food but we didn't try it as there are lots of eating options within 100 mtrs of the hotel. Also, at our request they did serve us morning & evening tea in our room. Thanks for that! 2. We had booked semi deluxe room from **. The usual checkin time is 12pm but we had reached quite early at 7am & they didn't have any semi deluxe room available. They did have a Super Deluxe room available at extra cost [of course because Super Deluxe is their best rooms]. We took a look at the Super Deluxe & liked it a lot but since it cost more we waited a little to have a look at the Semi Deluxe as well. Around 9am guests from one of the semi deluxe rooms checked out & we took a look. We didn't like it AT ALL & went with the Super Deluxe. 3. The Semi Deluxe rooms are on -1 & ground floor & looks like their construction is old. The two semi deluxe room we checked out smelled like seepage & didn't have any natural sunlight. It seemed they were not looked after as well as the Super Deluxe or maybe it is just due the fact that their construction is old.

I travelled in June third week with my wife and baby. Pros: The hotel location is walkable from main square ( half km). some tourist spots are nearby like the dalai lama temple, bhagsu waterfall etc. Room was spacious. Amazing view from roof top. Staff is very helpful. I had left my new pair of shoes which they didn't inform on d day of check out but later the issue was resolved n they have courieried it to me at my place.This is very generous on their part. Thanks to Mr. Neeraj. Cons: There is a house/tibetan school opposite to the hotel where monks live(around 50 or more) pics of house attached, so basically no view from room or balcony from deluxe rooms. Therefore noisy because of it n vehicles that pass by. Moreover, no kitchen is there. also, no kettle is provided in d room though they do boil and give boiled water and Tea etc. from their own house kitchen.

First time in himachal pradesh, and the hotel did not disappoint. Not too far from the main market, comfortable beds, clean washroom, hot water geyser, soft and warm quilts (we even requested one more, and they gave us), great view from the room and mesmerizing view of the mountain from the rooftop. Recommended place and got for veryy cheap as well. Worth every penny. The hotel staff were friendly and were very polite as well. Will probably visit again.

You will definitely find quality hotels in Mcleodganj. But maintaining quality is another quality which I saw in Hotel Misty Woods. I came back after 3 years at the same hotel and I found the quality (awesome) was exactly the same. From Staff behavior to cleanliness to food you get everything. Plus a minute walk to the chowk is worth the time. Thank you Hotel Misty Woods. I will definitely come back again. Cheers!
