Nani's Homestay

My family (my 10 yr old daughter and my husband) stayed at Nani's home stay for one night. We booked this as a place to rest on the way to Chikmagallur as we were travelling from Hyderabad. Pros: Good home food. The owner Mr. Narsimha Rao tried to make sure we are comfortable. He cooked by himself and food was simple but tasy and very homely. The main reason why we preferred a home stay instead of a hotel. He is also very helpful. This place is safe for family to stay. Cons: 1. The last 150 to 200 mtrs stretch to the home stay was pathetic.. There is no road.. It's a barren land which had hard mud lumps due to rain and hence made it very difficult for us to drive down in our i20 which got properly scratched below. 2. The home stay made us feel like a very closed place mainly because it's a 2BHK house and in one room the owner and his mother were staying and the other room was for the guests like us. Hall had just 2 chairs and nothing else for us to come out of the room and sit. No separate dinning area and no dinning table or chairs. . Our lunch and dinner were served in the hall by making us sit on a mat.. We were ok with it but not sure if others would be ok. We three just sat in the room and didn't feel comfortable coming out because obviously it was someone else's house and they were right there.. So i felt there was no privacy and our stay there was restricted to just one room for which we paid (Food was on extra charge ₹200 per person for lunch and dinner so total of ₹600). 3. Bathroom did not have geyser it had the electric water heater rod with a pathetic looking steel container to heat the water so we didn't feel like using it and skipped having bath before starting off to Chikmagallur. Had wash provided in washroom was diluted with lot of water. 4. The matress on the bed is not good at all.. It's not comfortable. The windows of the room didn't have curtains... The owner mention that they were reflective glasses so no can see through during the day time but in the night if one has to change clothes we should ensure we turn off the lights 😧.. Seriously changing clothes in dark. Bathroom was also so congested that it is impossible to change. With all the above cons mentioned I have still rated this place as 4 star only because of the good home food we got and also because of the professional attitude of the owner. He did come across as a very helpful person.Feedback provided above is to ensure the owner improves where improvement is required if he wants to continue with the concept of home stay. Secondly people should know in detail of the property before visiting.

Blindly... you can book Nani's Homestay.. You will be getting 1. A completely homely stay. 2. A peaceful climate. 3. A Wonderful person on whom you can trust completely (Believe me.. Nani Sir.., is one of the very less such well balanced and matured persons ever seen in my life...)

it's not Home stay...it's a room in their home..no privacy and located in remote...I have not done check in also..wanted my money ..no refund option
