Food was costly as they had to earn more!! 50 rs a cup of tea. Lights were out for long hours and was available for 1-2 hours in 5 hours. Service was good but owner did not appear even for once. Wanted to meet the owner.
To go to the houseboat, need to travel by shikara only. It is in the water. Shikara charges 1500 for 3 days only to pick and drop on Houseboat and 2500 if you wish to take a ride around the dal Lake. Very costly city and this applies to all the houseboats.

the houseboat i booked was new lily of the lake.
but, when we reached there with family, we were taken to any other houseboat. which was in very dirty area, full of mosqitoes and foul smell.
no arrangements of food etc.
no services
only 3 rooms with dirty bed sheets and blankets etc.
washroom was leaking
overall very bad experience

Good experience at a cheap price. They let us check-in earlier and check-out late. Caretaker was friendly.
