Overall I liked the resort because of it's location which was totally secluded and amongst nature. Value for Money: Somewhat as the normal rooms that we book doesn't come with AC. For AC you have to pay extra which we were ready to pay but then the room we were allocated was having the problem with AC and it wasn't that hot so we opted out of that. Location: If you are on vacation, and on your own vehicle or hired a full-time vehicle, this could be a good choice. Because it's not that popular and not touristy, it's not crowded which we like the most. Service Quality: The room had some problems like AC not working, Charging point not working etc. But they did help with extension boards so not that bad. Food Quality: I liked the food there. We had dinner and breakfast and we liked the both. Amenities: The only amenity they had was a pool but it was not running. But They had a nice garden and a barbecue at night. So it was good too. Cleanliness: The rooms were more or less clean but not squeaky clean. The bed sheets were not white and no blanket. That's a turn off for me. If the points I mentioned, you don't care about, give this place a try. The location is to fall in love with for.

Plan a trip to Ponmudi hill station and stop over at this wonderful resort, the experience is something that is both unique and beautiful. Take a bathing suite with you as the waters are crystal clear and the depth is gradual. It is one of the cleanest rivers in India where you can see right to the bottom, and no silt or muddy ground anywhere. The island itself need to be reached by a high but sturdy bridge, and you may need to park vehicles in the restaurant. The food and ambiance is amazing, and we had the privilege of having our rooms upgraded to deluxe by the owner. The pool is not in use, but who needs that when there is such a great river nearby, and you have a special path to reach it. I am planning an office trip again soon. Its a world to your self with no outside botheration, and the food is great.

The place is beautiful. We really wanted to stay at the top of ponmudi. But the rooms were full and I am thankful for that. We had to look for places to stay in Kallar which is closer to ponmudi but right next to a beautiful river. River county is accessible by a small bridge (100m walk from the road) and surrounded by a lot trees which brings such a pleasent atmosphere. Rooms are really clean and the they have looked into minute details as well. The staff is really polite and quite helpful. The owner gave us an upgrade from non ac room to ac room. You can walk around this beautiful place and even take the steps down to the river and take a dip in the water.

Our family of 7 people stayed at rivercounty for 2 nights. The host Arun welcomed us and took care of getting us settled in. The two ladies Saroja and Rajini were always available to meet our needs. The rooms are spotless and hygienic. The surroundings, beautiful and serene. There is also good value for money. I can only highly recommend this place to other families who are visiting ponmudi or IISER Tvm.
