The homely atmosphere, special treatment like family members, all other excellent facilities, the accommodation....and especially homemade food prepared with so much love and affection by Ninaji....are very appreciable. Usually nobody offers this type of treatment. I can't forget the personal evening chats. Sunilji and Ninaji were sharing their experiences with us....unbelievable but true! Everything very friendly! Once again, it was a really pleasant experience. Both Sunil and Nina were excellent hosts looking after all our needs. They gave all the guidance about Jodhpur and also provided us with the details about our onward journey to Jaisalmer. They are remarkably hospitable and went above in showing that they were really representing the nobility that comes from people who have spent a lot of time in Indian culture. They seem to enjoy doing what they were doing. During the evenings, all four of us adults had chitchat about all kinds of things. It just felt as if we were with our own family. Amar Nivas guest house which has more than 500 years of history, I stayed there for 4 days and I never missed my home. Now it as become my second home. Mr. Sunil Vyas, owner of the guest house his very friendly and guide you through. His wife Mrs. Neena Vyas prepares delicious food and their son Antariksh is a bundle of joy. A complete package. It is located near to Mehrangarh Fort which has several facilities which you may not get at other guest house i.e Friendly atmosphere, good food, etc... If you are a solo Traveller then I suggest you to stay here because you will get to meet new friends. According to my survey solo Travellers from abroad opt for this guest house so that you can meet and have a chit chat at roof top restaurant *. And also I suggest you to visit Jodhpur during or after October because the weather will be so cool. And more over Rajasthan government will host an amazing festival called RIFF which will worth to visit and enjoy. If you are looking for complete Jodhpur tour, then you must ask Mr. Vyas's suggestion. He will guide you properly. If you are arriving at Jodhpur by train, then you should go for rickshaw rather opting for cabs/Taxis because Amar Nivas is located near fort and has very narrow roads. Four wheelers will not fit in that road. It would be very difficult and they will drop you at some other point which is nearly 3kms from guest house. So better you take rickshaw. This review is completely based on my recent experience and I hope you will have a pleasant stay at Amar Nivas. Thank you.

I went for this home stay based only on the reviews , and I wasn't disappointed. The location is close to the main attravttiin in jodhpur, aka, mehrangharh fort. You can see the fort from any rooftop in this location. The fort and Jaswant Thada are walkabale distance from the stay. I went as a solo female traveler and it was the best stay I experienced throughout the trip. The owner Sunil Ji even arranged an overnight desert safari for me. Don't expect too much from the safari, since its not a dry desert like on Jaisalemer, you won't get to see sand dunes. But the villagers' hospitality and love made up for it :) Having Sunil Ji giving you directions to travel around the city was very helpful since I didn't have to waste a lot of money on tuk-tuks. Definitely recommend this for solo female travelers, feels like you have a relative in Jodhpur when you roam around by yourself. Not to mention the delicious food👍 Worth every penny I would say.

One of the best stays, I ever had. The manager and his hospitality was incomparable. He even drawn a customized map so that I can see the most (Mandore garden) and best with out burning my pocket. The food was not just delicious but homely as well. And the view from the roof was something you can afford to miss, it was like a medieval era painting in life. Above all the comfortable stay in such an antique 500 plus yrs Old property was just like having a leap in the time backwards and exploring the rarest possibility to relive the slice of not just historic Jodhpur but the incredible India Indeed. Thank you Amar Nivas Guest House, for giving me such a nostalgic memory for a lifetime, shall be eager to be your guest again.... cheers

Need a place to have a home like stay? Then you just can't get better then this. The owners are just wonderful. Always ready to help and makes you feel like home. The location is just near everything you want to see. Fort, clock tower, market.. everything. And just in case if you missed to eat outside you get the home like taste in the hotel. Both the owners are knowledgeable and will help you with your travel queries. They have this wonderful smile on their face that just reduces all you tiredness after a long day. Certainely the best home stay experience of my life.

I and my friend stayed here for 3 nights, the stay was awesome as this is not hotel but kinda home where our host Shusil and Neena will help you out with anything you are confused. They arranged our safari to Osian dessert which was one to must experience to Jodhpur. There's Mehrangarh fort view from terrace and city view at balcony. The galis are beautiful and old and indigo coloured which gives a different experience from a typical hotel. I wish Neena and Shusil all the very best for future business and thank them for making our trip wonderful.

Location - Far from bus stand and main city but very close to mehrangarh fort and jaswant thada.. . Reception - there was some checkin issue but resolved quickly . Rooms - good space and clean . facilties - food and other things were good and not so costly . terrace - nice view of mehrangarh fort and very chill place to relax . overall - aunty and uncle are very nice people, uncle shared lot of his good bad experiences, thats 5 star stay for us

Totally recommended if you want a nice rooftop restaurant and stay. rooms are clean and owners are very welcoming. Aunty cooks damn good chicken and you can sit on the rooftop with few beers. I feel it's little expensive if not for **so taking a star away for Value for money, since I got a great deal, I am mighty impressed by what I got. Want a guest house experience, clean neat and basic room, and a great rooftop place, then go for this.

Mr. Sunildutt and his wife Nina are excellent hosts and I wholeheartedly recommend them for your stay in Jodhpur. The house is a beautiful 500 year old construction. It offers a restaurant, decent WiFi, a clean bathroom with 24/7 water and a view of the fort and old part of town from the rooftop. The family is quite friendly and helpful with any issue one may have. All in all, the quality for the money is just amazing,.

Good place to stay. Food is very tasty. This guesthouse is managed by Mr. Sunil Vyas and his very friendly family and it also has very stunning views of blue city. However this guesthouse is not meant for people looking for high end luxuries at a cheap price.

Guest house is in centre of city and very close to all historical places.. view from top the house is marvelous. I would recommend everyone to stay here as you will never get such hospitality anywhere else.

It is a lovely homestay with very good hospitality. we enjoyed our stay with some good food over. our recommendation is to follow main road via jhalori gate instead of coming following the google map.
