The calmness of this place is mesmerizing. most importantly it not at all gives you a hotel like feeling so dont expect those services too. It has is own style of treating their guests and providing required services, which stands up to the mark. As this was built as king's abode for summers in the center of lake so you too would feel royal stay. It has only 10 suites/rooms and only 6-7 are currently functional. the rooms are ok and not big enough but the suites are amazing. lots of open spaces for the children to play and the food is really good.

The reception was good, greeted nicely by staff was given complimentary juice. thereafter, tour of the palace was given by Mr. umesh very soft spoken person. the view was definitely worth it with the ambience and the peaceful stay. price is of course high but it's not for everyone to experience.

It's a must visit for family and group travels to Udaipur with toddlers. the hotel requires you to park the vehicle at city palace and the take a boat ride to the Jagmandir Palace. it's has nice open place for kids to play and roam. also the kids like the boat travel

There are only two hotels in the lake - Taj and jagmandir. Jagmandir is beautiful with an amazing view. The rooms are nice and comes within budget. A must stay place in udaipur
