Rain Raga Resort

there was no toilet roll kept and after telling them the second time they kept it. the garden area for the kids is not maintained, the slide is rusted and the seesaw is broken. the stay at this property was going OK until the last day when the person in charge requested my wife to shift to another property of theirs in market area as he was upgrading our room. Unfortunately he managed to convince her and then we had packed our things and gone to their other hotel after getting delayed for breakfast (had to have lunch) due to the process. The USP which he kept repeating that there is a jacuzzi but we were unable to use it fully. In Rain Raga the power was not an issue the generator worked fine as the present hotel manager kept saying it is an issue everywhere in Mahabaleshwar. First of all we adjusted to their request to a room which was less in price by almost 1000 INR without getting what was promised as I had questioned if there is a pool there as I had specifically chosen it for the kids to enjoy and he just said there is a Jacuzi and bathtub but it is veg hotel. But more than half the day No AC (remote mystery one of the reasons) & Jacuzi just keeping your fingers crossed waiting for the inverter to work. So only I and my younger son who is a year old got to use the jacuzi for around an hour. Don't ever listen to what they request you is the conclusion, it is only for their benefit and to work out some mess which they have and not for your relaxation. My elder son is under medication for epilepsy also adenoids which has to be treated with surgery after he turns 3. He is undergoing therapy (Occupational and speech) for mild autism and behavioral issues. So his fear of seeing the bathtub and jacuzi and not wanting to enter it. By God's grace the neurologist during the follow up in March told us that there are no signs of autism. So for him to see all this arguing and screaming of his mother effects him greatly. We gave them business by staying there and booked the cab for sightseeing by their recommendation but lost all peace of mind and gained mental stress and went through the hassle with getting cheated in the end.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights – and let me tell you, it was a complete waste of money.Terrible service, overpriced food, and broken facilities. One of our rooms didn’t even have a working intercom or a functioning flush tank. When we raised concerns, the staff was never available or simply refused to help. Absolute negligence!To make things worse, at checkout, we personally showed the room keys to the service boy and left them on the bed in front of him – and still, AFTER we checked out, they had the audacity to call and harass us, falsely claiming that we lost the keys and demanding payment! Despite doing nothing wrong, we were forced to pay the fine – this was complete extortion.This hotel is a joke. Zero professionalism. Zero hospitality. Do yourself a favor – DO NOT STAY HERE.Mahabaleshwar is a beautiful place, don’t ruin your trip by staying at such a pathetic property. They will cheat you, overcharge you, and then blame you for their own mess. Absolutely disgusting!

Mostly everything was good. Breakfast was also good. The staff is good over there👍. They have a big area but there were no flowers over there. Many good hotels & resorts over there have very good flowers in their compound and garden area, but Rain raga didn't have any. I would recommend them to grow lots of colourful flowers in their compound, which will make the resort look more beautiful. Ya we enjoyed a lot. Rest same as above.

Pros -Location was near bus stand. Gave early check in 7 am in other room. Have a spacious balcony overlooking jungle. Cons - Property is not well maintained. Door locks are broken on all 3 doors. Not much options for food. Cleanliness is not upto standards.
