THE WAYSIDE INN

To begin with, when we reached the hotel, no one was there to take the luggage from reception to my room.. When i asked 2ho will oick the luggage, there was one person Ismail who was the manager at the reception, told that he will only pick the luggage. Room was very dirty... It was not cleaned.. No towels were given. When i asked for the towel, 1 was given which was wet and torn.. See the attached pics of wardrobe, back of bed, near Ac... Nothing was cleaned.. Then, no soap in the bathroom. The jet spray for toilet was leaking... Not happy at all. Bath tub was also broken. I asked Ismail on 2nd day, if they can give me paneer chilly dry, he said yes but at extra cost. I said ok. I told him that i need that at around 7 pm. He told me that sir u bring paneer and give to us and we will make it.. I asked if they had capsicum or do i need to bring that also. He said.. They have capsicum.. I also asked for Maggi.. He said, we dont keep maggi but they can cook and give if i bring maggi from outside. The market was 1.5 km from hotel... No shops nearby. Is it a joke?? In evening around 5.45, i gave ismail 2 packet of maggi and told him to make simple maggi and not vegetable maggi. What he did... U cant beleive.. They gave me boiled maggi without putting the maggi masala... I was horrified.. Then instead of paneer chilly, he gave me paneer pakoda.. All waste of money and time. He then made paneer chilly but it was tasteless... I never expected this... My trip was totally ruined... 2 out of 10...will never go back...

We were couple. I would like to appreciate many things of The Wayside Inn Hotel. When we checked in, the room was kept ready with each and everything. The Staff was also very friendly and supportive. Hospitality was also good.Hotel was big with garden, children play area, disco and also some outdoor games were there.At night , matheran is quite boring but we enjoyed the party at The Wayside Inn in Disco.We wish to come here again and give 5 star to Wayside Inn.

this place is located before you enter matheran. there's nothing very special about the hotel. the cons here are that it's not close to the markets nor is it close to the scenic points in Matheran. and if one has to return for some reason, one would have to first walk all the way to Matheran market and then onwards to the points. so there's no USP. also the place is old and crumbling.

very bad experience,as it was very bad hotel.no service ,no cleanness, nothing was there as it was cold place no warm water to bath.Nothing responsive.washroom condition was very bad need to repair.i will suggest not to take this hotel ,it was cheaper but nothing good in this hotel .it's like Krishna cottage...
