I stayed in the super deluxe tents from 24 to 26 may 15. Nothing super deluxe about the tent as it is not well maintained. Linen in tent is pretty bad. Location is very nice. However it is highly inaccessible as the approach road to the property is not serviceable. The approach road to the site from main road is pretty bad and one may avoid driving personal vehicles on this road. If u have to an SUV with high ground clearance is recommended. A climb of around 250 to 300 mtrs towards the tents via trail is difficult especially if you have aged people in the group. The manager and his staff are extremely polite and co-ordial. Food quality is average. If u want to have hot water bath and have travelled in a group u would have to wait as the staff provides half bucket of hot water at a time which is available via the solar heater and the boiler located away from the tents. Badminton kit though provided cannot be played because of the strong breeze. Golf as advertised is just a single putting area which is not maintained at all. If u have not prebooked rock climbing and rappling, the same cannot be arranged post arrival. If you are into trekking and travelling as a young group you might enjoy the place. A strict no for aged ppl, infividual or couples with small kids. Property as seen in the website gallery must be some years ago as of now it is not at all maintained and left me disappointed. Defenitely not worth the money paid. I have been to other places in similar locations and stayed in tents for much lesser which are much more well maintained. Do not expect any kind of luxury. Its a camp site suited for hikers and ppl who wish to stay in beautiful locations and have no expectations on comfort front.
Most Amazing Stay for a Long Time! Definitely doing re-visits here. Nestled on a side of the mountain sorrounded by many mountains all round with very negligible settlements, it just feels so close to nature. Very good tents, very well maintained, very courteous staff. Snows in winter and stays cool in summers, Dhanaulti in many ways has won my heart and specially this getaway option which is some 3-4 kms away from it in a secluded area. Shobharam ji who is the manager there is a wonderful person and a perfect host. From arranging starters during campfire to ensuring you get hot water and a clean tent he does it all. Knows his way as well of getting you rafting and stay options in Rishikesh (2-2.5 hrs drive) at reasonable rates. A perfect weekend getaway be it just you and your partner or a big group this resort entertains all. Small night treks to early morning sunrise view of the snow capped mountains (not in direct view but a trek away on top of the same mountain). Just loved this place close to nature.
Its a must go location to be at. Though its a bit far from Dhanaulti as well, but once make it to the place and stay there, you get to know that its worth taking the pain. The location & the view is superb, along with that the staff there are so humble and helpful. Specially, the caretaker named ShobhaRam has a great sense of hospitality. He would not say No to any of your needs. And with me specially he was so helpful, I lost my phone near the resort on the way and he helped me with all he could to get it back to me. Next day I moved to Mussourie and ShobhaRam made sure that I get my phone back, he searched and sent the phone back to me to Mussourie, It was really unforgettable experience to have. The people there are so helpful and honest. I wonder if I would have got the phone back if I had lost it somewhere else. The food was great, and it was made sure that we are given with all that we required to make the stay awesome. Will definitely go for it yet again. :-)
Superb place. The location is just awesome. The feel of living in the tent can not be matched. The tents are very well maintained. The service is incomparable. Especially Shobharam ji and Chauhan ji. They made this experience worth remembering. I went there with family, and booked 3 Alpine tents but they upgraded 1 tent into Cottage as they saw I had my Grandparents with me. We never felt that we were away from home, especially the food was so tasty and home like. This was probably the best trip I can imagine till now. Whenever I visit Kanatal or Dhanaulti, it is sure that I will be staying with them only..!
Well....what to say a breath taking ambience and fantastic hill view...the himalayan range is very much visible if there are no clouds and fog...great place to spend time with frns, group or loved ones. My would be better half really liked this surprise even more than me...i slowly slowly loved that place by the time i went relaxed after 1-2 kms rough driving as the way is quite difficult. But overall a truly paisa vasool place and you would surely be eager to visit that place again. Whispering Pines really made our trip.
Pros: scenic beauty unmatched from any popular hill station, serene and calm environment , sunrise and sunset beautiful, good homely food, courteous manager, good temperature in summer. Cons: location is a bit off road, housing only in tent so avoid rainy season, bathroom cleanliness could be a little better, there could be water problem though the manager tried his best for arranging water, not much to do if you are not into trecking and exploring lonely hills
Food is good. Trek is decent. But tents are not very tidy. Never mind, you can ask them to change quilts or pillows and also to remove insects. Or you can choose the cleanest tent. They have clean and tidy tents too. Browse, decide and stay. Overall, it was good but they are charging a little more for they provide. They should give better tents in this money. And yes, Aditya, their agent, he is all money minded. Be aware.
It was a wonderful stay at this place... U will feel like staying in the lap of nature.. Best part is no network only bsnl works.. So I was free from the ringing noise of my mobile.. In fact u can hear the noise of air, birds ND u r innerself.. Staff is very good.. Food is awesome.. Lot of activities like trekking, rock climbing, basketball, bonfire etc. Totally relaxed ND natural stay.
Location is nice, we took two tents stayed there 2 n 3 days with family .but all toilets are in very poor and unhygienic condition. Leaking toilet seats,no water to flush,no hot water. One has shout again and again to get hot water which they ration to u in buckets after hours of struggle. They are understaffed . overall gud location very poor management by their person (sobha ram).
If you are a nature lover, this place is a heaven. Undoubtedly alpine tents are better than the cottage. Food is good, people here are helpful and kind. There is no network here, either be prepared or get a BSNL sim before visiting there. It was a nice and relaxing trip. Loved this place. *Tehri dam is a must watch.
You get an amazing view of valley. Very peaceful and serene place. The food was also good. Only suggestion to the owners is that the overall stay was not value for money. I felt the prices were on the expensive side compared to the peers given the accommodation (tents) provided were very basic.
Peacefully offbeat place. Staff is very polite and will help you in whatever sense they can. Food is very good like typically home cooked meals. The location is a little offbeat hence no market place nearby but if you choose the food option then you're set for a peaceful family vacation.
the hospitality provided was good.it was easily locatable. we didn't receive welcome drink.drinking water is provided (not the bottled one). the food was also delicious and healthy with not much oily content which usually you seems to have in northern parts of india.
If you need a few days to explore not only nature but your innerself as well, this is a place!! Though you need to keep in mind that you won't get the luxuries you used to have in 5 star hotels but you will find peace and a lifetime experience. A must go!!
you will ask this once u book it its too interior stinky linen no super deluxe they have old tents with u alone as guest no menu eat what they give u total waste of money if u want village life observation then afford this waste of money.
Dear all I have stayed and the stay is excellent and the location is good. People should enjoy the stay with the good Himalayan views. food quality is excellent. Cost wise discount if any can be discussed with the Manager. T
This place was right on a hill with a beautiful view. Having said that it was a bit cumbersome to reach to but definitely worth riding upto. Considering the location, the services provided were good enough.
Had a wonderful stay in the lap of nature. Friendly staff, well maintained rooms and homely food made our stay memorable. Spacious property with lot of adventure activities for both kids and grownups.
Place is good and isolated.. Food is amazing .. Electricity and water shortage.. But there is no need of such in such a beautiful place..
it was a great experience..... view from that place was really enjoyable.. food was awesum and staff was very helpful and cooperative
