Its a new resort type hotel, having swimming pool, convention hall etc. Its about 25 kms from the Hampi ruins. We stayed in cottage which is on the back side of the actual hotel. The room had many flaws, no wooden slab attached to the wall to keep luggage etc. Only two dim lights were functioning. There was no light above the wash basin which is actually outside the bathroom. These cottages are basically for budget conscious travelers who cannot afford the actual hotel. No wi-fi was there. Room service was not good, we ordered an extra pillow and towel, which they did not provide. They had given only one soap & one towel for a family of four. They take up to 1/2 hour after you order since the kitchen is at the main hotel. Rs per night for this kind of service and facilities is a bit on the higher side, should not have been above The two saving grace which i could say was the attached restaurant which is based on train theme and the food comes on the tracks laid across the tables. Food taste and quality was also good though a little expensive. The other was the swimming pool where my kids enjoyed, but it was not maintained well. The water temperature was cold and bugs and flies were all over the pool.

DO NOT trust the reviews and 4 star rating. I booked two "Royal Cottages" for my family, and we were beyond disappointed with the service. We had to call the reception and physically visit them several times to get basic necessities like water bottles, bath towels, soap, other toiletries, extra mattress etc. AC remote was missing in the room, we had to ask for that as well. They only provided two 500ml water bottles for 3 adults, which is completely inadequate. We stayed here for 3 nights, but the rooms were never cleaned, and the management's excuse was that we had locked the rooms during the day! Not sure if they expect us to leave it open, or if they really don't have a second key to the rooms. We had to deal with unclean smelly bathrooms during our stay. The complimentary breakfast is another disaster. The buffet was empty most of the time, they took forever to restock dishes, and people queued up in the kitchen due to unavailability of dishes. The hotel management needs to improve a lot on room service and breakfast service if they want to make this a decent resort.

Our stay experience was awesome at Royal Rich County. The property is well-maintained and the staff are very friendly and super responsive. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling nearby hospete. Pool, kids play zone, restaurant and breakfast everything was excellent and surprisingly budget friendly. Must visit with family and friends, moreover the property is peaceful and middle of lush green farm land, everyone should love this place.

Stay was very pleasant, and we were amazed to see the facilities this hotel had. The restaurant deserves special mention as food is served by a moving train. The bar was very good too with their selection of wines. They had a free buggy service too. The swimming pool was clean too. Overall, very good stay and will definitely stay here if visiting this part of Karnataka again.
