Tenzin Dhondup is a Tibetan activist who gained recognition for his long-distance walks to raise awareness about Tibet. "March for Freedom": In late 2020 and early 2021, Tenzin Dhondup completed a "March for Freedom," walking over 2300 km from Dharamshala (the exile capital of the Tibetan diaspora) to Nathula, Sikkim, near the Tibetan border. Purpose of the March: His march aimed to protest China's policies in Tibet, highlighting three main issues: The deteriorating environmental situation in Tibet. Recognizing Tibet as an occupied country. Boycott of Chinese goods. Support and Impact: He was joined by other activists along the way and received financial and emotional support from various individuals and the Tibetan community. He also held press conferences and met with political representatives in the nine Indian states he crossed.
