Shiva Moon Homestay

I haven't had such a terrible experience ever in my life. I booked 2 tents there and my check in time was 12noon. I reached the area around 4pm and spent almost 30 mins to find the place as there wasn't even a proper board. I found the place and got in with the help of locals. They had 4 huts and the in charge was sleeping in one of them and I had to wake him up. After waking up, we had to help him to make the tents..when the tents were done, i saw it is torn. They provide you tents which are torn. And they don't have a proper front gate. When it was going to rain they shifted the tents to their so called non working restaurant area so that we don't get drenched in the rain,that too with our help. Throughout the night we could hear the stray dogs barking and roaming around our tents and even music of the songs played by cars going through the door. What kind of security do they provide?? Above everything the place had no water to bath or for toilet use. When asked he told us to bath in the nearby polluted canal. We booked a hotel for a basic stay but here 2 of the basic facilities,shelter and water, were denied. And during the time of checkout we could not find the hotel in charge as we were asking for water for bathing and flushing from the time of our check in. That guy was treating us like we owe him money. This was literally the worst stay experience in my life.

This property is at just 5 minutes walk to Anjanadri Hill. While booking cottage, it was not clear about shared washrooms. we didn't receive any Complimentary toiletries. Room and beds are not tidy. They have very basic huts with bed, we felt over priced for the facilities and comfort level provided. Food in their kitchen was delicious, little expensive but worth for money. Service was good. they provided Hot water on request.

Though we made full payment for booking at the hotel we could not stay there as the rooms were not spacious enough for the number of people booked. Moreover, it was not meant for family. Had a really bad experience and had to go and search for another hotel. We did not get any refund for the two rooms booked, though we could not stay there. We had no fault of ours and still had to pay for the rooms we did not stay at all.

It is not an Ideal guest house as it lacks basic facility. When I entered in my room one dog was sitting in my bed. The staffs doesn't change the bed sheets. As it was off season so there was no food but in house kitchen was there. The property is very far from Hampi City.
